2024 Draft Results

The draft results are in. According to ESPN, A and N both received "B" grades. Only one of our league members was graded with an "A", so therefore, we both did relatively well. Without further ado, here are our teams for the 2024-25 season.

A:

QB - Lamar Jackson

RB - Bijan Robinson

RB - Derrick Henry

WR - Michael Pittman Jr.

WR - DeVonta Smith

WR/TE - Chris Godwin

FLEX - Evan Engram

D/ST - Chiefs

K - Evan McPherson

N:

QB - Jalen Hurts

RB - Saquon Barkley

RB - Jahmyr Gibbs

WR - Zay Flowers

WR - Diontae Johnson

WR/TE - Sam LaPorta

FLEX - Aaron Jones

D/ST - Steelers

K - Ka'imi Fairbairn

A: I was torn between Lamar Jackson and Brock Purdy last season, so I just stuck with one of them this year. Hoping for the best with Lamar. Bijan Robinson was my first-round pick, and will likely be my main source of points. I have not heard a lot about Derrick Henry, Michael Pittman Jr., Chris Godwin, and Evan Engram, but I am looking forward to learning about and watching them this season. DeVonta Smith (go birds) will be very fun to watch alongside Jalen Hurts (boo N for stealing him from me). The Chiefs D/ST was a split-second decision, but I have high hopes despite my dislike for the team. Lastly, Evan McPherson was a fun pick, as I enjoyed having him as my kicker last year. My bench is filled with three wide receivers, a running back, a tight end, and a quarterback. Fingers crossed for a winning season (especially after the sadness of last season)!

N: As you can see, I went heavy on every position but receiver. Zay Flowers and Diontae Johnson aren't ideal, but the rest of my team made up for it. Drafting Saquon then Jahmyr Gibbs, I went heavy on RBs out of the gate. I then went and got my tight end and quarterback, getting Sam LaPorta and stealing Hurts from A. I clearly am relying heavily on the Lions and the Eagles this year, which also means I will have a guaranteed loss on their shared bye week, week 5. I filled the team in from there, getting one of my main targets this year in Ladd McConkey. They say you can't win on draft night, but you can lose it. I will still need to make some good trades and free agent pickups down the line, but I don't believe I will lose the league.
