Week 9: Bounding Backward

Like Saquon's incredible backward hurdle this week, A took a leap backward with her first loss since week 3. N bounced up in the standings thanks to a bye this week.

A - My matchup against my dad came down to Monday night, with me up by 14. Travis Kelce, the worst player on my team last year, was the only unplayed athlete remaining. He scored 22 points to secure my dad's victory against me. Tears. However, the final score was 151-143, so I am not upset with how my team played. Steady Lamar Jackson scored 30 points, Derrick Henry scored 26, and Bijan Robinson scored 20, propelling my team to a solid spot. My only disappointment was Michael Pittman Jr. with 2 points, which has become a trend for him in the past couple of weeks.

N - My team, despite the bye, still played well. I scored 139 points, well above what I was projected. Although this week didn't matter, it is still good to know that my team can score a lot of points. My team is now rested and prepared to attack the second half of the season with a playoff push.

A - I am still in third place overall, and next week I am playing my cousin in sixth place. His team features De'Von Achane, Ja'Marr Chase, and Jared Goff, all of which have had their ups and downs. On my team, Michael Pittman Jr. and DeVonta Smith are both questionable, but I hope they will be fine by game time. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry are playing on Thursday night against the Bengals, which should be a fun game to watch.

N - I am playing my 7-1 cousin, this week, which is a must win for me. In what would be a huge upset, I am relying on Saquon and Hurts to carry me to victory over his high-powered team, consisting of Josh Allen, Alvin Kamara, and CeeDee Lamb. I am projected to lose, but not by much. It should be a close match, and I am really hoping I can pull off the upset.

Hope you appreciated the hilarious title (courtesy of A).  Looking forward to some close matchups that will hopefully be less close than currently projected. See you next week!
